Balkan Documentary Market

For the fifth year in a row, an important part of the Sofia Documental program is the platform for film industry professionals called the "Balkan Documentary Market". The forum is a place for exchanging experience and ideas, as well as for meeting new international partners and exploring opportunities for cooperation. The main focus of the program is the public presentation of the BDC Discoveries program, the longest-running initiative of the Balkan Documentary Center. A notable recent alumni is the opening film "To Hold a Mountain," which premiered at Sundance. Nine projects will be presented in two categories – investigative journalism and creative documentary films.
