Focus: Ukraine

A war is being waged not far from us. Thousands of Ukrainian refugees are now in Bulgaria as a result of Russia’s invasion. In many cities of our country, there were marches in support of Ukraine and its citizens.
Sofia DocuMental 2022 takes part in this movement with a selection of films dedicated to the war in Ukraine and life in the Russian-occupied territories. The films we showcase look into regional conflicts in the last eight years and show the history of the full-scale war.
