Knit’s Island takes us to a 250-square-kilometer virtual space where people from around the world build community and simulate survival. For some, it’s an escape; for others, an alternative to reality. A film crew enters this digital world through their own avatars and begins to interact with the participants. The result is a gripping expedition on the border between fiction and reality, revealing – with humor and empathy – the human stories behind the screens.
