MR. NOBODY AGAINST PUTIN

Pavel Talankin & David Borenstein / 2025 / 90' / Denmark, Czech Republic

Pasha is an ordinary teacher in a small Russian town. He works at the same school he once attended as a child and is fully dedicated to teaching. His students adore him for being creative, playful, and different from his strict colleagues. But after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, everything at school begins to change. Putin imposes a new direction – one where the curriculum becomes militarized and propaganda seeps into classrooms, aiming to erase critical thinking altogether. Unable to accept the new system, Pasha begins secretly documenting what’s happening under the guise of being a videographer, exposing how the war infiltrates everyday school life. When he realizes he’s about to be exposed and his life is in danger, he starts planning his escape from Russia.
