Tata follows the personal and painful journey of director Lina Vdovîi, who, after years of distance from her father, receives a video message showing him badly beaten. Her hesitation gives way to a need for answers, and she sets off for Italy, where he resides as a seasonal worker This marks the beginning of an unexpected and emotional journey through memory, trauma, and the fragile path to reconciliation. Tata is a film about the delicate bond between parent and child, about violence and inherited toxic masculinity, and about the possibility of change in a wounded world.
