Bulgarian queer artist Ivo Dimchev transforms personal pain and social taboos into bold, intimate, and provocative performances. He explores sexuality, identity, faith, and activism with uncompromising honesty. Despite being HIV-positive, Ivo gave over 400 free concerts in people’s homes during the pandemic. But for an artist like him, Bulgaria proved too small, homophobic, and conservative. In search of freedom, he moved to New York, where he continues to shake even the boldest of audiences. In a world that struggles to accept radical individuality, Ivo turns vulnerability into strength – and art into a weapon of personal liberation.
