COMPETITION FOR BEST BULGARIAN DOCUMENTARY FILM

There are two awards in the Bulgarian competition: award for "Best Bulgarian Documentary Film" with the support of Balkan Documentary Center and a special award from "Dnevnik" for the film which starts a conversation.

AWARD FOR BEST BULGARIAN DOCUMENTARY FILM

This award recognizes a Bulgarian documentary film that skillfully and thoughtfully tells important stories about contemporary society, giving voice to diverse perspectives and inspiring
dialogue, awareness, and empathy through the power of documentary filmmaking.

SPECIAL AWARD BY ‘DNEVNIK’ FOR THE FILM THAT STARTS A CONVERSATION

With the support of "Dnevnik".

The award recognises a film from the Bulgarian programme of ‘Sofia Documental’ that transforms an important social issue into a powerful narrative, contributes to a better understanding of that issue, and has the potential to spark discussion amongst a wide audience.
